Hommage to a legend

As a huge movie fan, I always wanted to create an illustration of Hitchcock. Started months ago with a few sketches but due to loads of deadlines never found the time to start the actual painting. Eventually got triggered by some colleagues and pulled out my sketches again. My hommage to a great director!

Joe Biden

Had some sparetime yesterday, so created the missing link in my election piece : Joe Biden.
First looked at some pictures, then at some videos of his speeches. Jeezzzz... this guy has many faces.

After a couple of different sketches, I got the look and feel I wanted for him. Now, hopefully find the time to complete the whole thing. Have created the final idea in sketches, but am very interested of how it is going to turn out in the end.

Palin

I'm so freakin' busy surviving all my deadlines that there was little time to work on my US Election illustration at the moment, but created Sarah Palin last week.
This one is part of the bigger Obama/Mccain piece that I want to finish next week.

Eventhough he has been drawn millions of times, I really wanted to create my own Obama.

With the world's biggest sport event almost starting on Friday, I had some (Dutch) gold medal athletes to draw. Here's one: former Olympic Champion and definently going for gold this year again: Anky van Grunsven. She competes in dressage and jumping events (horses) and is acclaimed to be the world's best. This drawing is part of a bigger piece I am working on. Try to upload more soon.
